Amid strong growth, Eckel & Vaughan (E&V), the full-service strategic communications agency based in Raleigh, named a new partner and expanded its business development team.
The firm’s new partner is Pres Davenport, currently E&V’s business development director and an E&V employee since 2012. Pres becomes the company’s fourth partner, joining co-founders Harris Vaughan and Albert Eckel and client services director Matt Ferraguto.
As business development director, Pres leads all efforts to attract and secure new business and to grow and strengthen existing client relationships. Over the past four years, he helped E&V secure long-term relationships with national and regional brands, including the NC ABC Commission, Bank of America, Facebook, Dominion, House of Raeford Farms, and the NC Railroad Company.
Joining Pres on E&V’s business development team is new hire Michael Cutts. As business development manager, Michael will play an integral role in proposal development and onboarding new clients. He’s a native of Oxford, NC, and has eight years of experience in helping companies develop problem-solving strategies and streamline processes.
Michael lived and worked in New York for three years building his client relations and business development skills, including a stint with musician Kanye West as an original member of his in-house agency, DONDA. Upon relocating to North Carolina, he served as a Project Manager for Capstrat working with a variety of clients, including Quintiles, BASF, NC Ports, and ConAgra Foods.
“Pres has been an extraordinary addition to our team, and he’s helped fuel E&V’s strong growth since his arrival,” said Harris Vaughan, co-founder. “We’re thrilled that he has become a partner, and that Michael is joining him on the business development team. We consider this an important investment not just in our new business operation, but in E&V’s future.”
