With over five years of experience working in the government and nonprofit sectors, Carl is passionate about community and communication. Having worked as a radio DJ, graphic designer, and photographer, Carl knows how to use the five senses to evoke meaning and emotion. As an account manager with Eckel & Vaughan, his eclectic interests and perspective provide clients with unique insights in creating compelling communication strategies targeted to their audience.
Before coming to Eckel & Vaughan, Carl worked as communications director at Family Education Initiative, a local nonprofit that specializes in teaching life coaching to students in underserved communities. He continues to utilize his passion for education, community, and strategic planning by serving on the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science Advisory Commission.
Carl graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science, a minor in environmental policy, and a Master of Arts in Museum Studies & Cultural Resources. In his free time, Carl likes to travel, create art, play music, go to museums, and hang out with friends.
