As a senior project specialist, Jevonté is an integral member of Eckel & Vaughan’s public engagement team with his skills and experience in project management, client coordination, strategic engagement planning, and research. Our clients benefit from his experience in both the public and private sectors plus his organizational skills and desire to learn and communicate seemingly complex public policy issues.

Before joining Eckel & Vaughan, Jevonté served in various roles within the state government of Virginia, which allowed him to gain public sector agency and practical communications experience that he utilizes today in our clients’ public engagement efforts.

Jevonté is knowledgeable and passionate about a clean energy transition and attaining a carbon-neutral future. During his time in state government, he also served on the Virginia Council on Environmental Justice where he was part of a team that advised the Governor on ways to incorporate environmental justice into policy decision-making. He brings his passions to work for our clients by advising them on best practices and assisting in their efforts to inform the public of highly complex projects that may impact them.

Jevonté is a graduate of Ferrum College where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science. He also earned a master’s degree in public administration from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Government & Public Affairs. He is a Virginia native and grew up in Hampton Roads – commonly referred to as ‘the 757.’ In his spare time, you can find Jevonté strolling through a local park, reading the latest research on a variety of topics, staying up to date on current events, or spending time with his favorite family members, his nieces and nephew.
