Kaitlyn has crafted communications strategies for clients in a variety of sectors, including those facing public affairs, litigation, reputational, and regulatory challenges. Before joining Eckel & Vaughan, Kaitlyn spent four years with strategic communications and public affairs firm CLS Strategies in Washington, D.C.
During her time at CLS, she helped a leading global tools and storage company determine its public position and messaging on trade policy and tariffs; supported the Champagne Bureau, USA, in protecting and promoting the Champagne name in the United States; and worked alongside plaintiffs’ counsel to coordinate media relations in a class action lawsuit against a leading bank. She also worked with clients on their communications strategies surrounding numerous mergers and acquisitions and government investigations.
Kaitlyn earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the UNC School of Media and Journalism. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys exploring local breweries, rock climbing, reading, and spending time at Lake Tillery. She also volunteers with the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts as a Guardian ad Litem, serving abused and neglected children in Wake County by advocating for their best interests in court.
